[CHARACTER]
Name: Wanda Lehnsherr
Codename: Scarlet Witch
Age: 28
Character Base: The Scarlet Witch, former Avenger and current madwoman.
Home Reality: Wolverine and the X-Men, Earth-80920
What did this person do wrong to be pulled out by the Timebroker? After Magneto turned the Sentinels on humankind, Wanda realized that he was in the wrong but did nothing about it. She couldn't bring herself to banish him. He kept his position as leader of Genosha and all of his access to its resources. He then went on to continue his war on humanity.
Appearance: When it comes to build, Wanda is a fairly average athletic woman. She stands between 5'7" and 5'8" tall and weighs about 130 pounds. Her hair is a curly auburn brown and she tends to wear it loose around her shoulders. When she needs to pull it back, she prefers to use her costume's headdress instead of a ponytail holder or headband. Her eyes are blue like her twin brother's. When it comes to clothing, she tends to wear her Scarlet Witch bodysuit and boots. Civilian clothing isn't out of the question, but uniforms were standard attire on Genosha. When she does choose something else? She goes for red.
PB: Keri Russell

Powers / Skills Wanda has the innate mutant ability to manipulate magic in the way that some individuals can manipulate energy, light, or other natural forces. Other versions of the Scarlet Witch have had the potential to produce Omega-class reality manipulating effects, but this version has shown no such talent.

Generally, Wanda's powers manifest as 'hex spheres.' These spheres are little pockets of arcane energy that appear as red flashes of light. When generated through a gesture and concentration, they cause random events to occur. The events could be helpful, or they might actually work against Wanda and in the favor of whoever/whatever she's fighting. She never really knows what to expect. Chaos, sure, but her abilities don't produce the same reliable outcome every time. She's much better as a team player than on her own - she's got a lot of 'oomph' but she's best when she's used to shake things up and distract while someone with more focused abilities delivers the knockout blow.

(In terms of actual use in play, attacks directly against other characters work like this: Wanda casts a hex-sphere and the target decides what happens inside it. There's a lot of wiggle room to decide what is best for the plot at any given time.)

Aside from her mutant abilities, Wanda is a fairly skilled leader. She may not have her father's commanding presence, but she has his charisma and his strength of conviction. If she had to take over rule of Genosha? She could.

Weaknesses: Aside from the general unpredictability of her powers? Her subservience to her father. Her sense of duty. Her stubborn refusal to accept that it's really that bad and that she might actually need to step in and do something to change the course of events.

Personality: If you can catch her on a casual day, when she's not handling her father's business, Wanda is both genuinely gracious and warm. She's not evil so much as caught in her allegiances and unable to break free. She was raised by a demanding man and she was taught to place his needs first. At heart, she's kind and good-intentioned. Unfortunately, to get to her heart you have to push through how she thinks she's supposed to act. She's always done as she was told. Always. If Magneto needed it, it was done. Recently, Nightcrawler has shown her that what she's always been told was necessary - the 'hard moral sacrifices' of locking up dissenters and willfully harming your enemies - isn't the only way of behaving. She wants to be better. She just hasn't been able to shake her overwhelming sense of duty.

Needless to say, she's loyal. It's one of her best qualities; she's loyal even when loyalties conflict, because she understands that her father's a driven man who sometimes alienates people he oughtn't. His son, for one. She loves her siblings in spite of the fact that Pietro had a falling-out with Magneto. She cares about Nightcrawler and wants to see him free, in spite of the fact that her father is against the idea. She is a woman of principle who has never been pushed to the point where she had to pick one principle over another.

Wanda is stronger than she thinks. She's not interested in being protected or sheltered. She has fire to her and she's capable of standing her ground and redeeming herself. She just needs something to force her into action. She's not just a puppet; Wanda does in fact have a mind of her own.

She also has a natural protective streak; her sense of duty extends past the House of Magnus and out to mutantkind. It's not just about being obedient. Being bossed around wouldn't sit well with Wanda if she didn't also believe that Genosha was a sanctuary and that she did have a responsibility to her people. Mutants come to the country expecting to be protected. She needs to make good on the promises her father has made to them. She may be having doubts about his methods, but his message isn't all bad. If you offer a safe, accepting haven, you ought to provide one.

Overview:
(Note: a lot of Wanda's early history isn't explained during the series, so I'm putting together her childhood from an amalgamation of the sanest parts of other versions of the character.)

→ Born in Transia.
→ Her mother dies when she is very young; the twins spend most of their time with nannies and babysitters, as Erik is often away on 'business.'
→ Growing up, Wanda is closest to her twin brother. He's the only real constant in her life. She views her father with awe, but doesn't really know him.
→ Gains powers at thirteen. Magneto begins taking a greater interest in her. He teaches her as much control as he can and then arranges for a magic specialist to serve as a tutor. Under close supervision, Wanda learns to keep her mutant powers from going out of control.
→ During her late teens, Magneto brings another girl home and introduces her as the twins' half-sister, Lorna. Although rivalry could have developed, it wasn't in Wanda's nature to punish a frightened and lonely little girl. Wanda and Lorna grow close.
→ At eighteen, Wanda joins the Acolytes. She is not often sent out on active duty - her job is frequently to take care of things around the base. Managing security, making sure that they have supplies, helping new recruits, and so on.
→ Between nineteen and twenty-five, The Acolytes skirmish against the X-Men and human military forces.
→ Twenty-six. There is a temporary cease-fire. Magneto strikes a deal to gain control over Genosha. In return, Magneto will end his reign of terror and will stay put in his new kingdom.
→ Twenty-seven. After an attack on Charles Xavier's mansion, Xavier and Jean Grey disappear. The X-Men disband.
→ Charles Xavier washes up on Genosha. Magneto takes in the comatose body of his old friend and watches over him.
→ Twenty-eight. The X-Men regroup after the MRD (Mutant Response Division) is formed and begins rounding up mutants, innocent and dangerous alike.
→ The X-Men arrive on Genosha seeking Xavier's body. Magneto gives it to them.
→ Nightcrawler, a former X-Man, accompanies a group of mutant immigrants to Genosha. Once there, he decides to stay and look around. Wanda plays tour guide and becomes fond of him.
→ Not long afterwards, Nightcrawler discovers that mutants who have become disenchanted with Genosha are being held prisoner in dungeons beneath the city. He tries to flee and warn the X-Men. Mystique is sent to retrieve him and bring him back. Wanda is a party to / allows his imprisonment, although she petitions her father at regular intervals for Kurt's release.
→ Wanda and Nightcrawler are abducted by Mojo. A brainwashed/controlled Wolverine is sent out to hunt them. Working together, they manage to snap Wolverine out of his trance and escape. However, Wanda almost lets Wolverine plummet to his death.
→ After they're free, Wanda confesses her treachery to Kurt and apologizes, telling him that 'he's shown her another way.' However, she refuses to return to the mansion with the X-Men. Her place, she says, is with her father.
→ Magneto begins manuvering to incite war against humanity. When Sentinels are sent to attack Genosha, he reprograms them and sends them back against their makers.
→ Wanda is plucked from her timeline by the Timebroker.

[SAMPLES]
It's a much different Wanda (she's 616, post-House of M, mostly sane, depowered, and sad), but there are samples here, here, and here.

If you'd like a writing sample for this version, I'd be happy to do one. I've never actually played her before, which is why I linked to the other take on Wanda.
